This time, we focused on the negative pressure device installed in the room for isolating coronavirus-positive patients or in the room for sample testing and disposal of used items.
The simple negative pressure device we have developed is a temporary version that does not comply with the CDC guidelines.
Initially, the prototype was made by chopping wood and had a handmade feel, but after repeated verification using this prototype, we proceeded to the point where it could be put to practical use.
In the initial experiment, it was assumed that the room would be 8 tatami mats and 2 beds in the ward, but after that, it was suggested that it could be used in a room with 20 tatami mats and 4 beds.

With our equipment, we have confirmed that a differential pressure of 2.5 Pa is produced in the living room.
A wooden house with a low degree of airtightness, there are gaps above and below the entrance door, and there is no duct work, so in the mechanism that easily exhausts from the window, 2.5 Pa between the corridor and the living room I was able to confirm the differential pressure.
Simply put, it is thought that bacteria and viruses from infected people
in the room can be kept in the room without being released in the corridor.
